Welcome to our website. This website is owned and operated by Derek D. Fleming consulting O/A New Earth Organics; hereinafter referred to as “New Earth Organics,” or “NEO.” Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to New Earth Organics. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The personal data collected on our site is only for the purpose of the checkout experience for account holders. Name, email address, personal account preferences; transaction data, such as purchase information and certain cookies to enhance your experience.
Personal data is not collected from visitors unless a purchase through our checkout is made, and this is only based on your checkout and cart experience in order to fully fulfill your order. Personal data is also generated from technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third party embeds.
By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users.
While you visit our site, we’ll track:
- Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
- Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
- Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!
We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Set up your account for our store
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Improve our store offerings
- Send you marketing messages (customer review email – see next section for full details)
If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 8 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.
Checkout and Email Customer Review follow-up Email
We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store. By checking out on our website you agree to have a follow up email sent to you asking for a review of our products and or services. This contact is only to help us gain valuable feedback in order to improve – and if a review is given, by you, the user who purchased from our website and used our cart to checkout, you agree to have us publish this review on our website with your relevant name and date of review. In no way should this information be used by another party, website or taken out of context. We also reserve the right to delete, remove or archive your review due to information we believe to be false, derogatory, slanderous, malicious, poor or untruthful, or infringe on the right and freedoms of any individual or entity.
Newsletter
By signing up to our email newsletter list, you agree to take part in our mailing list and receive newsletters from us. This sign up is voluntary and can be opted out at anytime by you the user. We also reserve the right to remove you from our mailing list for any reason or circumstance we feel necessary or just.
Comments
We collect information about you during if leaving a comment on our site, such as: name, date, email address (if applicable). If your comment is approved, you agree to have us publish this comment on our website with your relevant name and date of comment. In no way should this information be used by another party, website or taken out of context. We also reserve the right to deny, delete, remove or archive your comments due to information we believe to be false, derogatory, slanderous, malicious, poor or untruthful, or infringe on the right and freedoms of any individual or entity.
Contact Forms
By submitted your information on our contact form, you agree to supplying your name, email address or other relevant information we need to reply to you. We do not use the information submitted through our contact form for marketing purposes. If using our wholesale form, you agree to your information being collected in order for us to set up an account for you to do wholesale business with us. This information is not published, disclosed, reproduced, or given or sold to any entity – it is retained by us only for our records in relation to your account inquiry. We keep this information until you choose to close your account with us.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Analytics
By default WordPress does not collect any analytic(s) data.
Who we share your data with
We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you; All third party providers with whom you share site data: Stripe (to process payments) & Paypal (to process payments). We accept payments through PayPal and Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal or Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. This data is only for checkout purposes. By default WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us (if any exists). You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How we protect your data
Our website contains a valid security certificate for a secure connection that can be verified by ‘Let’s Encrypt,’ our payment processors use encryption to protect your data.
